Spies & Assassins, the digital specialism within kbs+ (Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners), seeks a mid- to senior-level Freelance UX Designer. Our ideal candidate is a detail-oriented designer with a cross-disciplinary set of interests. You have a design background, but are a problem solver at heart. Your approach to UX is lean, pragmatic, and solutions-focused.<\/p>\n
User Experience Designers at Spies\/kbs+ are involved in all stages of a project\u2019s life, from discovery and initial brainstorming to the final launch and beyond. As a Freelance UX Designer, you will be involved in a variety of projects, across different clients. You should be comfortable jumping in mid-stream, and quickly getting up to speed on work to-date, and taking ownership of the UX thread of work.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n
- Participate in project discovery process and document findings<\/li>\n
- Collaborate with teammates, clients, and third parties to craft cogent Experience strategies, including but not limited to user personas, user journeys, interaction models<\/li>\n
- Participate in user experience ideation, and refine those concepts into client presentations<\/li>\n
- Document experience specifications<\/li>\n
- Create clickable prototypes and participate in both informal and formal validation testing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n
\n
- 4+ years experience designing and documenting applications or large-scale digital campaigns, involving detailed UX design, and documentation<\/li>\n
- Generates documentation at a high level<\/li>\n
- Comfortable with hand-sketching<\/li>\n
- Proven ability to multi-task and cope with quick turnaround projects<\/li>\n
- Solid writing and visual communication skills<\/li>\n
- Works with Sketch and InDesign, and is familiar with InVision, OmniGraffle, and Illustrator<\/li>\n
- Knowledge of usability heuristics and relevant HCl literature<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
