The ideal candidate will have a wide range of skills and a strong interest in art,<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>technology, and design. This internship offers hands-on training in the museum profession<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>and a comprehensive overview of Museum exhibition operations from the early planning<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>stages to implementation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Responsibilities:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This internship will provide the unique opportunity for the chosen candidate to play an<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>integral role in the production and installation of major exhibitions by contemporary artists<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>working primarily in digital\/new media, with primary tasks including but not limited to<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>equipment and software research, video formatting and exporting, maintaining and updating<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>AV inventory, gallery maintenance, assisting with the installation of projectors and monitors,<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>and assisting with other exhibitions related duties.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Qualifications:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The ideal candidate is passionate about contemporary art and skilled with problem solving,<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>installation, working with new media, video, sound, and general audiovisual applications.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Knowledge of video post-production and Google Sketchup is a plus. Applicants must be<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>ready to think creatively in unfamiliar situations and be prepared for hands on experience.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>To Apply:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The internship will run November 2015 through February 2016, and candidates will not be<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>considered for shorter durations. A minimum of 16 hours per week is required (two full days<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>at 8 hours\/day). The final schedule will be determined with the department<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>supervisor.
