POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The successful candidate will be well versed in 3D modeling for both rapid prototyping and<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
animation with a secondary expertise in either game design or interactive and immersive media<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
systems. Proficiency with Blender, Maya, Rhino, Processing, Max\/MSP\/Jitter as well as familiarity<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
with programming languages C and C++ is expected; experience with physical computing,<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
embedded systems and\/or video systems a plus.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
City Tech faculty are expected to engage in scholarly or creative work that achieves professional<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
recognition, and the candidate is expected to sustain professional development at the cutting<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
edge of technology, to promote the development and integration of emerging technologies into<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
the entertainment technology industry, and to play a key role in inter-departmental and inter-<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
disciplinary projects. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, and Saturday courses. All<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
faculty share responsibility for committees, department assignments including administrative,<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
supervisory, student advising, and other functions.<\/div>\n

The ideal candidate will have experience in an emerging media industry as well as university level<\/div>\n

teaching experience and an MFA, MPS, or Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent.<\/div>\n

Also required are the ability to teach successfully, demonstrated scholarship or achievement, and<\/div>\n
