Makers can prototype their design ideas in our safe, secure, 5,000-sq-ft fabrication lab. We<\/p>\n<p>produce events and programs for a thriving community of creators and innovators.<\/p>\n<p>NYDesigns seeks an Operations Manager to lead the creation and implementation of systems and<\/p>\n<p>solutions to improve the performance and efficiency of NYDesigns\u2019 program operations. A key member of<\/p>\n<p>NYDesigns\u2019 decision-making team, the Operations Manager will provide the management team with critical<\/p>\n<p>information to support the development of strategic goals and initiatives. Acting as a liaison between the<\/p>\n<p>management team and the rest of the team, the Operations Manager will then translate these strategic<\/p>\n<p>goals into practicable action plans and processes and oversee their implementation by the rest of the<\/p>\n<p>NYDesigns team.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Systems Management:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Build, implement, and refine systems to increase the effectiveness of NYDesigns\u2019 internal<\/p>\n<p>operations and incubator programs, including client selection, client onboarding and offboarding,<\/p>\n<p>and reporting<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Establish a system for tracking and articulating the value that NYDesigns brings to its clients (i.e.,<\/p>\n<p>clients\u2019 business growth metrics) in order to satisfy stakeholders and to help make business<\/p>\n<p>decisions, and oversee the data management process<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Generate reports on clients\u2019 growth metrics for LaGuardia administrators<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Establish and enforce internal and program policies and procedures that satisfy NYDesigns\u2019,<\/p>\n<p>LaGuardia\u2019s, and sponsors\u2019 objectives<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Work actively with the team to identify and understand issues or deficiencies that emerge and<\/p>\n<p>apply these assessments toward continuous improvements in programs and operations<\/p>\n<p>Program Management:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Oversee and, as needed, lead the implementation of incubator programs, including business<\/p>\n<p>support programs, to ensure that they satisfy clients\u2019 needs and advance NYDesigns\u2019 mission<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Support Strategist in Residence fulfill his\/her growth plan for NYDesigns\u2019 client companies by<\/p>\n<p>connecting them with customized business growth resources and networks, such as business<\/p>\n<p>advisers, talent, and technical assistance from partners<\/p>\n<p>o Recruit and onboard experts to network of pro bono advisers<\/p>\n<p>o Manage pipeline programs to connect NYDesigns\u2019 clients with CUNY students to fill<\/p>\n<p>o Schedule clients\u2019 quarterly review meetings and meetings with pro bono advisers<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Oversee the Capital One Entrepreneurship Program \u2013 a biannual, 11-week business training<\/p>\n<p>program for LaGuardia students \u2013 and ensure successful achievement of program and sponsor<\/p>\n<p>goals in collaboration with the program coordinator<\/p>\n<p>Client Relations:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Serve as primary point of contact for all clients<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Regularly interface with clients to collect feedback about their experience and their business<\/p>\n<p>growth, milestones, press, etc.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Work closely with Client Services Manager to ensure effective resolution of clients\u2019 inquiries and<\/p>\n<p>complaints to foster a seamless client experience<\/p>\n<p>Communications:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Write and edit content for internal and external communications related to NYDesigns and its<\/p>\n<p>programs.<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Work with 3rd party service providers to manage marketing content and all external<\/p>\n<p>communications, e.g. Social Media, Website, marketing materials, newsletters, event invitations<\/p>\n<p>and materials<\/p>\n<p>Grant Reporting:<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Support the fulfillment of grant-funded project milestones and alignment with internal and sponsor<\/p>\n<p>goals by creating action plans for the team and documenting and tracking activities and milestones<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Communicate project outputs to funders through data-driven reports<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Bachelor\u2019s degree, preferably with coursework in business administration, economics, statistics,<\/p>\n<p>and\/or entrepreneurship<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf 2-5 years of experience in a customer support, operations, project management, or consulting role<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to develop and maintain client<\/p>\n<p>relationships<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once and handle<\/p>\n<p>complex situations<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving ability<\/p>\n<p>\u25cf Grant\u00adwriting experience a plus<\/p>\n<p>Position Details<\/p>\n<p>This is a full-time position with an excellent benefits package. Salary commensurate with experience.
