My name is Liss LaFleur and I am an interdisciplinary artist currently working out of Texas. I am seeking a collaborator and developer to build an iPad App for me using the Structure 3D scanner, possibly Skanect, and Structure\u2019s open SDK for a new project called\u00a0HEROINES<\/i>. Some previous knowledge or interest in 3D scanning is helpful but not necessary. Must have knowledge of building iOS Ipad applications, and working with open SDK systems.<\/p>\n

HEROINES (see\u00a0<\/i>http:\/\/heroinesproject.com\/<\/a>\u00a0)<\/i>\u00a0will be a participatory re-envisioning of surrealist artist Claude Cahun\u2019s 1925 text:\u00a0H\u00e9ro\u00efnes: Regarding the Psychology of Certain Female Figures from Classic Literature.<\/i>\u00a0The original text is a collection of monologues: 5 biblical, 4 classical, 4 literary, 2 stereotypical, in which Claude Cahun re-writes women\u2019s history. I will be using the scanner to record contemporary performances of this text.<\/p>\n

The app will have two main functions: one for production, and the other for reflection or viewing. This app would ideally be similar to both the Structure APP and the Structure SCAN APP on the IPad with some variances. These scans are about the process of getting an unrecognizable human scan (relationship between me scanning and the performer delivering lines), and NOT about getting a completed, perfect, scan of a figure or object. There is room for playing with distortion or additional variances also. I need to be able to spend time capturing the scan, move closer and further away from the object or person without an error message popping up, and record the scanning process as a movie as well as end up with a 3D file. I\u2019d also like to change the colors of the depth scan if possible to hues of pinks\/ purples\/ yellows.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m willing to pay someone two installments of $500 and provide you with a structure scanner and Ipad to get a working prototype for my scanning process up and running. If interested, this is an ongoing project with the potential for major development and more funding down the line.\u00a0I’d like to have a working prototype functioning by this summer.<\/p>\n
