Background Information<\/div>\n
The Perfect Earth Project (PEP) is a nonprofit initiative focused on raising awareness about the dangers of lawn and landscape chemicals to humans, pets and the environment, and providing education in toxinfree land care, in the U.S. and around the world. Founded in the fall of 2013, PEP has already made great strides with its outreach and education programs.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Position Description<\/div>\n
The website developer will work closely with the President\/Founder and report directly to the Director of Education and Outreach to implement changes to the PEP website prior to launch. Additionally, the website developer will work on an hourly basis to implement minor changes to PEP\u2019s website as need arises. This position is as an independent contractor with Perfect Earth Project as the client. Perfect Earth will be invoiced directly by you for services performed.<\/div>\n

Primary Responsibilities<\/div>\n
\u2022 Analysis of website\u2019s current state to identify issues and suggest design improvements<\/div>\n
\u2022 Complete integration of desired functionality into new PEP website<\/div>\n
\u2022 Work with PEP\u2019s graphic design team to directly implement design improvements<\/div>\n
\u2022 Create searchable database of toxin-free educators and institutions worldwide<\/div>\n
\u2022 Improve searchability of interactive map<\/div>\n
\u2022 Routine website maintenance and implementation of minor changes<\/div>\n
\u2022 Maintenance of hosting accounts for PEP<\/div>\n
\u2022 Integration of custom email responses to PEP campaigns<\/div>\n
\u2022 Occasional Tech Support for PEP staff working on website<\/div>\n

\u2022 HTML, Css<\/div>\n
\u2022 Programming language: Ruby<\/div>\n
\u2022 Framework: Ruby on Rails<\/div>\n
\u2022 Project examples using Ruby on Rails<\/div>\n

\u2022 JavaScript<\/div>\n
\u2022 JavaScript framework: VueJS or similar, (angular, backbone, ember)<\/div>\n
\u2022 Twitter’s Bootsrap<\/div>\n

\u2022 Geocoder gem familiarity<\/div>\n

Bonus:<\/div>\n
