The company is focused on putting women\u2019s needs at the center of product, service, and workplace policy design and is led by Sarah Krasley, an Adjunct Professor at ITP. Beyond the consulting layer of our business, we bubble up new ventures that aim to disrupt product experiences that disempower women. Our current product venture is called X Swimwear and explores swimwear and how it relates to women\u2019s body image.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">SCOPE OF WORK<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Unreasonable Women is looking for an ITP student to help us grow our understanding of technologies that capture data about human bodies and those that display data about them. These technologies might include body scanning, sensors, body models, fit genomes, holographic projections, home try-on systems, etc.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">We are looking for an intern to work out of our Brooklyn, NY accelerator starting next month in an effort to explore these new technologies and comment on their maturity and applicability in current and planned workflows. This intern will be paid in course credits and will be expected to work 1-2 full days per week in addition to some occasional independent offsite work throughout the week.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">This intern will learn fundamental skills in product management that will serve a graduate well in technology product management roles, wearables development, apparel and retail design, and in a general technology start-up capacity.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">WHO WE\u2019RE LOOKING FOR:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 A self-starter who takes a positive and proactive approach to problems and uses tenacity and creativity to get the answers needed to move the project forward.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 An excellent verbal and written communicator.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Technically capable to get up and running on software and hardware without much assistance.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Some front-end and back-end development experience for prototyping<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 A person passionate about women\u2019s empowerment and\/or mission-driven companies<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 Bonus points for: applicants with experience in body scanning, projections, or retail\/merchandizing.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\u2022 While our mission is related to women\u2019s empowerment, people of all genders are strongly encouraged to apply!<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Interested candidates should please send a cover letter and resume to Amanda@unreasonablewomen.com with the words \u201cTechnology Futures Internship\u201d in the subject line.
