Internship Opportunities 2016<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Eyebeam provides internship opportunities as part of the educational component of our mission.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Interns play a vital role in our community, and we invite you to explore the opportunities<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
available. Interns must be able to work a minimum of two full days per week, seven hours<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
a day, for three months, or propose an equivalent amount of time.\u200bEducational credit, and a<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
small stipend of $500 are available. In the past, interns have always developed connections to<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
artists, technologists and designers of interest to them.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Development Intern<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This internship will give the intern valuable, real \u00adworld experience in the nuts & bolts of nonprofit<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
development, within a highly\u00ad respected institution. Well \u00adsuited candidates should have an<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
interest in nonprofit management, and will work directly with the organization\u2019s Director. The<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
intern may be expected to:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u25cf Identify, research and contact potential donors, including corporations, foundations, and<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
individuals;<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u25cf Assist in creating materials needed for donor solicitation, including letters, electronic<\/div>\n

presentations, and informational packets;<\/div>\n

Digital Fabrication Internship<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The Digital Fabrication Intern will work directly with the Creative Tech Manager to maintain and<\/div>\n

operate various digital fabrication machines at Eyebeam. Additional, this person will help to<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
organize and schedule equipment use for all creative residents.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Eyebeam seeks a curatorial intern to assist with the conception, execution and post\u00adproduction<\/div>\n

of our annual exhibition featuring residents, to take place in Mid\u00adMay. This unique opportunity<\/div>\n

involves several components:<\/div>\n

\u25cb developing a floor plan with a clear narrative<\/div>\n

Writing Intern<\/b><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Eyebeam seeks one Writing Intern. The intern will work closely with the Communications<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Manager to develop a range of archival investigations, digital content, with the possibility of<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
publication development. This opportunity will engage a full range of marketing skills, but the<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
emphasis is on developing written content for Eyebeam’s multiple platforms.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

Computational Fashion Internship<\/b><\/div>\n

The role of the Computational Fashion Intern will be assist with securing partnerships and the<\/div>\n

planning of all program related events. Some of the tasks you will be asked to assist with are as<\/div>\n

\u25cf Planning and organization of upcoming exhibitions and the Computational Fashion<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
\u25cf Development and updating of digital content related to the initiative<\/div>\n

A prime candidate for this position will not only have experience in communications and event<\/div>\n

planning, but will also have a significant interest in and knowledge of creative applications for<\/div>\n

Studio Internship<\/b><\/div>\n

Please note that studio internships are unpaid since they take place directly with current<\/div>\n

residents rather than the staff. Please review our current residents if you have interest in<\/div>\n
