Internship Description:<\/p>\n
This is a full-time internship opportunity working with our creative team in our California Studio. The<\/p>\n
candidate will interact with other design professionals and colleagues at Designworks on collaborative<\/p>\n
projects in an effort to learn hands-on, real world design problem-solving in the field of Design<\/p>\n
Strategy.<\/p>\n
This position will contribute to Designworks\u2019 Creative Consulting practice, which integrates the<\/p>\n
perspectives of design thinking, innovation, and systems thinking into holistic strategic frameworks.<\/p>\n
Interns will help frame problems, contribute meaningful insights, and define business opportunities for<\/p>\n
a wide variety of clients, laying the foundation for the development of innovative products, services,<\/p>\n
and organizations. Ideal candidates will have strong framework visualization skills, capable of<\/p>\n
graphically representing complex ideas in straightforward ways.<\/p>\n
We are looking for a designer who enjoys diversity of projects, is self-motivated, and is inspired by<\/p>\n
design. A balance of creative and analytical thinking is a must.<\/p>\n
Preferred Major: Design Strategy, Design Research<\/p>\n
Skills required: Illustrator, Photoshop<\/p>\n
Internship Date: July \u2013 December 2016 (dates are flexible)<\/p>\n
Compensation Information<\/p>\n
Rate of Pay: US$ 14.85 per hour<\/p>\n
Items not covered by Designworks include: relocation costs, transportation, housing, visa fees.<\/p>\n
Other: Every Designworks intern, based in the Los Angeles Studio, will be given the option of leasing<\/p>\n
a base model vehicle for the duration of the internship as part of the company lease car program<\/p>\n
(subject to availability).<\/p>\n
