DIGITAL INTERN<\/div>\n

Melcher Media and Future of StoryTelling (FoST) are looking for a bright, talented, and enthusiastic digital intern who will be responsible for developing the official FoST Summit web app, supporting the FoST curation team to provide tech support for exhibition spaces at the Summit (October 5<\/span><\/span> &amp; 6), and providing general ongoing IT maintenance. This paid, temporary internship (3\u201312 months) provides an opportunity to experience app production from concept to completion and gain invaluable hands-on experience.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The candidate will be expected to:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Work with producers to code the official FoST web app<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Collaborate with the app design team to provide input and ideas for new<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
features<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Fix, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Support ongoing computer and IT maintenance<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Work with the FoST content team to set up, test, and experience beta builds<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
of the latest cutting-edge projects in the storytelling industry\u2014including VR<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
and gaming\u2014to support exhibit curation<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Requirements:<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Proficient in HTML, CSS\/SASS, and JavaScript<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Experience using Git or similar version control software<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Experience using Contentful or similar Content Management Systems<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– An understanding of web analytics integration<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– A genuine interest in emerging technology trends and cutting-edge projects<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
and storytelling tools<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
meet deadlines<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
– Familiarity with PhoneGap, Parse, Ionic framework, WordPress, SQL, and\/or<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
PHP\u2014or the desire to learn\u2014a huge plus<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
