We have a successful intensive program to retrain professionals from all industries and help them gain the skills they\u2019ll need to become junior web developers, QA professionals, or product managers. Past students have utilized their skills in a number of exciting ways, including: founding their own startups, joining established organizations as junior developers or simply leveraging their new skills in their current career.<\/p>\n<p>In a kind of \u201cmeta\u201d twist, we\u2019re a development school currently seeking a Lead Developer to head up automation efforts and the building of education platforms and tools. You\u2019ll be leading our dev team, which includes both mid-\u00adlevel and junior-\u00adlevel developers. Currently we work mostly with Ruby, Rails, JavaScript, and jQuery but our stack is fairly flexible and we\u2019re open to talking with technologists from most disciplines. Upcoming projects include a redesign of our student management platform, a new student lecture portal, and other exciting projects!<\/p>\n<p>What we\u2019re looking for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0At least 2 years of development experience<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0At least 6\u00ad-12 months of experience managing a team or similar leadership experience<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Candidates who can demonstrate deep knowledge in at least two of the following\n<p>categories: UI\/UX, front\u00adend, back\u00adend, devops, project management. In partnership with The Tech Talent Pipeline and Queens College, NYCDA trains and connects qualified, upper\u00adlevel computer science candidates from Queens College with NYC businesses.<\/p>\n<p>This course is a 4\u00ad-week long program\u00a0<a dir=\"ltr\">from\u00a0<\/a><a dir=\"ltr\">5\/31\/16<\/a>\u00a0\u00ad-\u00a0<a dir=\"ltr\">6\/24\/<wbr \/>16<\/a>\u00a0meeting\u00a0<span class=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_665252654\"><span class=\"\">Monday<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00ad-\u00a0<a dir=\"ltr\"><span class=\"\" data-term=\"goog_665252655\"><span class=\"\">Friday<\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<span class=\"\" data-term=\"goog_665252656\"><span class=\"\">10:00AM &#8211; 4:00PM<\/span><\/span><\/a>with a 1\u00ad-hour break each day for lunch.
