Reporting to the director and working closely with the Publisher<\/p>\n<p>and Editor, the Digital Audience Engagement Manager is responsible for growing the imprint\u2019s social media<\/p>\n<p>identity, defining and engaging a digital audience, enhancing our publicity and marketing campaigns through digital,<\/p>\n<p>and helping identify and market to our each book\u2019s specific topics.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Manage Columbia Global Reports\u2019 social media accounts (FB, Twitter, website) with the goal of<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>communicating the brand, individual books, author events, newsletter and our blog. Identify ways to grow<\/p>\n<p>our social media audience and connect our blog to more readers and other bloggers who will recommend it.<\/p>\n<p>Initiate CGR content on YouTube and Instagram.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Work closely with our editorial team to identify, create, gather and execute content for our website,<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>newsletter and social media accounts. Be able to edit audio and video of our authors and events for online<\/p>\n<p>distribution.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>CGR\u2019s books cover specific topics around globalization (business, culture, politics, science, etc). You will<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>do a deep dive into each book\u2019s nice audiences, including bloggers, websites and newsletters and help us<\/p>\n<p>connect with them. You will help shape our content for these different audiences across our various social<\/p>\n<p>media platforms. You will think of creative ways to grow our audience and keep that audience engaged in<\/p>\n<p>our social platforms. This will include growing our subscription lists.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>You will determine the most strategic and optimized use of a limited paid digital marketing budget and<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>manage digital marketing campaigns.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>You are a news junkie who will capitalize on news stories, trends, or hashtags that are relevant to CGR\u2019s<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>books and brand. You\u2019ll work in tandem with the publicist to connect her with reporters and producers who<\/p>\n<p>are covering topics where our books and authors can contribute to the conversation. Much of your work<\/p>\n<p>will enhance the efforts of the publicist to attract press attention for each book.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>Additional duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications for Grade:<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree required. 2-3 years of related experience.<\/p>\n<p>Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for a news junkie and avid reader who will enjoy connecting Columbia Global Reports to what is<\/p>\n<p>happening in the world every day.<\/p>\n<p>You must be an avid user of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Vine,<\/p>\n<p>YouTube, Vimeo, and Snapchat, be engaged in the social media community, and eager to learn about new<\/p>\n<p>technologies and trends.<\/p>\n<p>You have a demonstrated ability to write and create engaging and error-free social media content that matches our<\/p>\n<p>tone and subject matter quickly and consistently for several audience.
