\nor and celebrate one another=92s lives through listening. StoryCorps Histori=
\nas is a one-year initiative to record the stories of 700 Latinos around the =
\ncountry. Recognizing the need to cover diverse Latino communities, StoryCorp=
\ns Historias will gather stories from Latino residents in the US that represe=
\nnt numerous national backgrounds =96 Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican, Central a=
\nnd South American =96 as well as urban and rural experiences. StoryCorps His=
\ntorias will be conducted with partnership and support from the Latino Public=
\n Radio Consortium, historical and cultural institutions, and membership orga=
\nnizations.<\/font><\/p>\n
\na fast-paced, highly collaborative team that will help successfully launch a=
\nnd execute the goals of the Historias Initiative. The Communications Assista=
\nnt works directly with StoryCorps=92 Historias staff, senior management, and=
\n Marketing & Communications Department as well as an outside public rela=
\ntions firm to help create the public face of StoryCorps=92 Historias Initiat=
\nive.<\/font><\/p>\n
\ne Manager of Community Outreach in coordination with the Marketing and Commu=
\nnications department.<\/font><\/p>\n
\nrsee the work of our external marketing\/PR firm, and Historias staff to plan=
\n and execute the national Historias launch in Washington D.C., approximately=
\n in mid-September; Goal is to ensure national media coverage of launch event=
\n.<\/font> Collaborate with Historias staff and other designated StoryCorps =
\nstaff to ensure smooth operations and clear communications about all DC laun=
\nch plans and activities.<\/font> <\/p>\n
\n:<\/font><\/p>\n
\nervice departments to develop Historias marketing and promotion plans. Assist Marketing Coordinator and Historias Senior Coordinator in design =
\nand production of all Historias marketing collateral, including printed mate=
\nrials, e-materials, newsletters and templates for use by StoryCorps departme=
\nnts.<\/font> Assist Marketing Coordinator and Historias Senior Coordinator =
\nto create co-branded Historias materials and messages in collaboration partn=
\ner institutions.<\/font> Coordinate with StoryCorps=92 Development departme=
\nnt regarding any communications with Historias participants\/alumni.<\/font> Coordinate with Communications Assistant to track all press coverage and pr=
\nepare press reports for funders, StoryCorps Executive Team, and Board Member=
\ns.<\/font> Manage Historias digital assets such logos, photos, audio files,=
\n and testimonials.<\/font> <\/p>\n
\nltural awareness and knowledge of Latino communities in the United States. 2 =96 3 years experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related =
\nfield.<\/font> Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<\/font> Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.<\/font> Excellent atte=
\nntion to detail and ability to multi-task.<\/font> Demonstrated analytical =
\nskills and problem-solving ability; adaptive to growing, changing organizati=
\non.<\/font> Proficiency in Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheet, e=
\nmail, and database software. Basic HTML (blog level) and experience with Ado=
\nbe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) also required.<\/font> Proficiency =
\non a Mac platform is preferred.<\/font> <\/p>\n
