Job\/Internship Description:
\nWith some big partnerships and product launches on the horizon,
\nwe\u2019re looking for a proven product manager to play a central role in
\nguiding the design, development, and testing of our new web and
\nmobile-based app. You should also be enthusiastic about communicating
\nwith and problem-solving for users.<\/p>\n
An ideal candidate will have proven organizational and project
\nmanagement skills, a technical background, excellent communication and
\npeople-management skills, and a positive attitude. Teaching or
\neducation experience is a significant plus.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\n-Manage product lifecycle, from identifying and brainstorming
\nrequirements from conversations with users and the team, to writing
\nproduct requirements documents and user stories, prioritizing the
\nproduct backlog, coordinating with design and development teams, QAing
\nnew features, and acting as the primary technical support liaison for
\nusers
\n-Set timelines and milestones for team and ensure that each department
\nunderstands the product priorities and goals and is not blocked from
\ncompleting their tasks
\n-Understand and communicate to the team both the high level problem
\nthat is to be solved, and the nitty-gritty details for each feature
\n-Work with the CEO and Director of Marketing to develop and iterate on
\na roadmap for the product and set clear strategy goals
\n-Collaborate and lead brainstorming sessions and team meetings for our
\ndistributed team in NYC, Northern California and Bangalore<\/p>\n
Required Skills:
\nQUALIFICATIONS
\n-2+ years of web-based and mobile product management and a successful
\ntrack record of working on cross-functional, highly-collaborative
\nteams
\n-Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts,
\nschedule tradeoffs and execution strategies
\n-Hands-on leadership ability, with excellent verbal and written
\ncommunication skills
\n-Organizational skills and ability to set priorities and timelines for
\nself and team
\n-Intelligence and adaptability — things change fast in order to meet
\nteacher and student needs
\n-Bonus points for teaching or education experience<\/p>\n
