It was started in 2008 with a single class of four and five\u00adyear\u00adold students. Now in 2016, there are<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>150 children up through 7th grade.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>We actively involve families in their children\u2019s school and children in their own education. We promote learning<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>through an interdisciplinary curriculum, appreciation of critical thinking and open\u00adended investigation of<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>neighborhood and beyond. Founded with the understanding that community is the backbone of society,<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Greene Hill School guides children to become dedicated members of a diverse, democratic society.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Greene Hill School is dedicated to achieving a racially and economically diverse balance of children and<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>families reflecting the Fort Greene and Clinton Hill Brooklyn community. Understanding that tuition is often a<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>barrier to diversity in independent schools, it is the goal of Greene Hill to keep tuition reasonable with a sliding<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>scale based on income. In this way, GHS maintains a learning community that is representative of the rich<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>cultural and socioeconomic community in which GHS resides.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Greene Hill School seeks a part\u00adtime Technology Teacher for the 2016\u00ad2017 academic year. Candidates<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>should have a passion for making, design and STEAM education as well as experience working with students<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>in an educational environment. Over the past few years students have engaged with the following programs<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>and processes: Scratch Animation,, Circuitry, MakeSense!, MakeyMakey, Arduino and Robotics.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Responsibilities will include developing and leading ongoing cross\u00adage collaborations and school wide<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>initiatives. . S\/he will also support teachers in integrating technology into their curriculum.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Responsibilities:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u25cf Teaching students grades 2 \u00ad 8 creative programming techniques<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u25cf Imagining, defining, and providing best practice technology integration<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u25cf Working to provide technical and special project support as needed.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Requirements:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u25cf Teaching experience<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u25cf Ability to work collaboratively and with enthusiasm<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u25cf Comfort using a variety of technical programs and willingness to learn others<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>This position is part\u00adtime, approximately one day a week.
