This is a sterling opportunity for<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>individuals conversant in media studies and production to inspire young<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>learners and instill advanced media skills through project-based learning.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The largest boarding\/day school in New York, the Ross School is one of the only<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>K-12 institutions featuring media studies in its core curriculum. The Media<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Studies program synthesizes critical analysis, media history, audiovisual<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>production, and programming.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>At the lower school level (K-6), students develop transmedia projects while<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>studying an array of creative work \u2013 ranging from filmmakers Charlie Chaplin<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>and Stan Brakhage to cartoonist Ed Emberley to designers Ray and Charles<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Eames to emergent breakthroughs in data visualization. Students additionally<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>explore how media influence broad social and political movements while<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>affecting our emotions, our psychology, and our environment.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in either media history, digital<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>citizenship, graphic design, or coding. Candidates able to teach from an<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>integrated perspective encompassing English, cultural history, and science are<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>especially encouraged to apply.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Candidates must hold a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Media Studies, Communication,<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Rhetoric, Design, History (or related discipline), and a minimum 2 years\u2019<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>teaching experience.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and a resume to<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>hr@ross.org.
