Each quarter we focus on a different near-future<br \/>\ntechnology (past topics include image object recognition and natural<br \/>\nlanguage generation). To communicate the value of these technologies<br \/>\nto our clients we make product-style prototypes, data visualizations,<br \/>\nand reports with explanatory illustrations. You would help with the<br \/>\ncreation of those materials. By the end of the internship you will be<br \/>\nresponsible for creating your own demo on, or visualization of, an<br \/>\naspect of the technology we focus on for our next report. You will<br \/>\nalso be responsible for posting updates to our company blog about your<br \/>\nwork.<\/p>\n<p>This opportunity is open to current undergraduate and graduate<br \/>\nstudents, as well as recent graduates and career changers seeking an<br \/>\ninternship position.<\/p>\n<p>Our ideal candidate is interested in both code and design. Familiarity<br \/>\nwith HTML and Javascript, which we use to code our prototypes and<br \/>\nvisualizations, is required. Experience in design and visualization is<br \/>\na big plus. If you\u2019re a programmer looking to move more into design or<br \/>\na designer who has moved into programming this could be a great fit<br \/>\nfor you. Primarily, we want someone interested in making stuff, and<br \/>\nwho is up for learning whatever they need to learn to get those things<br \/>\nmade.<\/p>\n<p>Our office is currently on the lower east side in New York City,<br \/>\nthough we are likely moving to Brooklyn (near Barclays Center) at the<br \/>\nend of the summer. We offer a flexible work schedule in a<br \/>\ncollaborative and creative environment.<\/p>\n<p>These are paid internships on site in our NYC office.
