Interns<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>will have the opportunity to work on projects related to both the Margaret Mead Film<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Festival and other public programs.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The Margaret Mead Film Festival is the longest-running showcase for international<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>documentaries in the United States, encompassing a broad spectrum of work from<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>indigenous community media to experimental nonfiction. The festival is distinguished by<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>its outstanding selection of titles, which tackle diverse and challenging subjects,<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>representing a range of issues and perspectives, and by the forums for discussion with<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>filmmakers and speakers.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Interns are critical to our operations and we are currently seeking motivated and creative<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>individuals to work with us. This internship enables interns to learn about public<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>programs and film festival production, museum operations, and outreach strategies. We<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>require our interns to work at least 2 whole days per week (10:00-5:00 pm, M-F) plus<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>assist with 4 evening and\/or weekend programs per month. Although this is an unpaid<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>internship, many of our past interns have received payment or credit through work-study<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>or academic credit programs offered by their universities.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Intern tasks include, but are not limited to: general office and administrative support;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>composing\/designing and distributing flyers and posters on Adobe Indesign; maintaining<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>databases; researching outreach opportunities, crafting education projects; preparing<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>assets for web postings, and assisting with marketing\/publicity.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>QUALIFICATIONS:<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Current college or graduate students, preferably with arts, social science or media<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>degrees.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Must be reliable, organized and positive. Must have deep knowledge of Excel and<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Word.
