Hello,<\/p>\n

My name is Hannah and I’m the outreach coordinator for CURRENTS New Media. I’m writing to you today to inform you of an open call for our festival. We always hope to get lots of submissions from students, and emerging artists, as we aim to be a festival where quality work without the clout of an established name can be showcased alongside professional established artists. That being said, feel free to share this in your professional community, or if you are so inclined, please submit something yourself!<\/p>\n

Deadline: November 15th 2016<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

CURRENTS is an international NEW MEDIA ART festival. We showcase a variety of art that pushes the boundaries of art and technology, experimental films, installation, and performance. This is a call for our 2017 show June 9th-25th 2017<\/span><\/span> in Santa fe, New Mexico. Last year we counted over 7,000 visitors at our festival events.<\/p>\n

Some artists who are accepted into the festival are eligible for full coverage of lodging, travel, and shipping.<\/p>\n

We are accepting submissions for the following categories:<\/p>\n

\u2022 New Media Installations,\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Outdoor Video and New Media Installations,\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Single Channel Video and Animation,\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Multimedia Performance,\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Fulldome,\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Experimental or Interactive Documentary,\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Web-Art \/ Art-Gaming \/ Mobile Device Apps,\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Virtual Reality Environments,\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Robotics,\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Digitally Generated Objects (ie. 3D Printing)<\/b><\/p>\n

\u2022 Interactive Installations for Children<\/b><\/p>\n
