\nNational Student Electronic Music Event
\nCall for Works and Papers
\nMarch 10-11, 2017 at Louisiana State University<\/p>\n
In its sixth year, the National Student Electronic Music Event solicits works for its annual conference on March 10-11, 2017 at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA.
\nComposers currently enrolled as graduate or undergraduate students in a college or university are invited to submit works in the following categories:
\nMusic
\nPapers
\nSound Installations
\nSubmission deadline: November 18, 2016
\nEntry Fee: None<\/p>\n
Individuals may submit only one work in each category:<\/p>\n
1. Music
\nElectroacoustic music for fixed media, with up to eight channels of audio.
\nWorks combining musical instruments or voice with electronics.
\nWorks for electronic instruments.
\nVideo and multimedia works.
\nWorks in progress will be considered if a substantial part of the work is complete. The accepted works cannot exceed the duration indicated at the time of submission, and the final version cannot be substantially different from the versions submitted.
\nFor the selection process, multichannel works must be submitted as stereo mixes.
\nWorks involving instrumentalists are welcome, but the submitter must provide the performer(s). Works of any length may be submitted, but, for practical reasons, works up to 12 minutes in duration will be more easily accommodated.<\/p>\n
2. Papers
\nWe seek paper presentations on topics related to the field of electroacoustic music. Please submit an abstract for consideration. Paper presentations are limited to 20 minutes, including Q&A.<\/p>\n
3. Sound Installations
\nWe seek sound installations to be presented in the LSU Digital Media Center for the duration of the NSEME weekend. Basic video projection and sound reinforcement will be provided. Artists will be responsible for bringing all other necessary equipment.<\/p>\n
Submission Information
\nPlease submit works and papers for consideration to this form or at the NSEME website by Friday, November 18 at 11:59 P.M. Submissions after this time will not be considered.

Notifications of accepted works and papers will be sent by mid December and posted online to the conference website and Facebook page.
