Position Description and Overview<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
A development internship at Potion provides hands-on learning experience in a fast-<\/div>\n
paced, interactive studio environment. You will be exposed to all aspects of our<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
creative process, from concept and design to development, production and<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
installation. You will work closely with producers, designers and developers to both<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
learn and contribute to projects.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This position offers a chance to make meaningful contributions to interactive<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
projects that will reach large audiences across the country and around the world.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This is a full-time 40 hours a week position.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Expectations & Responsibilities<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Support developers in various capacities, i.e. research, prototyping and<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
implementation.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Participate in and contribute to various proposals and presentations.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Collaborate with the Design discipline on internal and external projects.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Actively ask questions and learn at a fast pace.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Take ownership of selected internal projects.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Supervision<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Interns will be assigned a mentor, who they will report to, and interact with on a day-<\/div>\n
to-day basis. In addition, they should expect to interact with all developers in some<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
capacity throughout the length of the internship. Weekly check-ins with the Director<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
of Technology should also be expected.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Qualifications & Skills<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Minimum education or experience: Bachelor\u2019s degree.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Some experience in a creative coding work environment, either academic or<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
professional.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 A strong desire to learn and grow in a challenging environment.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Some previous development experience in a creative coding platform, i.e.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Processing, openFrameworks, Cinder, Unity, etc.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Experience with creative tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Ability to deal appropriately with confidential information and\/or issues using<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
discretion and judgment.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Ability to work collaboratively and participate in the creation of a respectful<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
working environment.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Ability to receive and give critical feedback.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 A strong portfolio with samples of creative, elegant code.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Additional Skills (Nice To Have)<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Knowledge of web-based technologies (front and back-end).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Experience with native mobile development (iOS or Android).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Experience with virtual reality experience development.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Things To Note<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 This is a paid and\/or credit internship. Length is 3 months, typically from start<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
of June to end of August.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Non-US residents must arrange for a student visa and sponsorship<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
independently.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 Starting from April 1st, our address will be 26 Broadway STE 808.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u2022 We do not provide housing, but can help with recommendations.<\/div>\n
