Senior Electrical Engineer at BioLite

\ngeneration of clean energy solutions for both outdoor recreation and emerging markets.
\nIn this position you’ll lead development of electrical hardware for a range of exciting new
\nproducts with potential for massive global health and environmental impacts.

\nKey Activities
\n\u2022 Hardware Development \u2013 Design, ECAD, prototype and debug new embedded electronics. Designs must
\ndeliver high levels of functionality and reliability in extremely price-sensitive markets. Key areas of
\nfunctionality include low- and medium-voltage DC-DC power conversion, sensing and signal conditioning,
\ndata gathering and storage, and wired and wireless communication via USB, BLE, serial and other
\nprotocols.
\n\u2022 Design for Manufacturing \u2013 Execute and deliver production-ready design artwork and Bills of Materials,
\nand production line programming, calibration and testing infrastructure. Travel to, manage and liaise with
\nvendors and manufacturing partners.
\n\u2022 Skill Building and Facilities \u2013 Build and integrate electrical lab and prototyping capabilities within the
\ncompany. Procure, maintain, and evolve equipment and software.
\n\u2022 Technology Development \u2013 As part of our broader team, identify and develop technologies that can be
\napplied to emerging and outdoor recreation markets in various areas including cooking, energy-access,
\nlighting, and off-grid living.
\nKey Attributes
\n\u2022 5+ years\u2019 experience in electrical engineering or related discipline
\n\u2022 Strong mathematical and basic engineering foundation
\n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to take initiative and learn quickly
\n\u2022 Enthusiasm for new technology, design, and innovation
\n\u2022 Accountability, sense of humor, proactive nature and work ethic
\n\u2022 Self-managing and motivated; experience in a start-up environment a plus
\n\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
\nTechnical skills
\n\u2022 Experience in embedded electronics design and prototyping
\n\u2022 Familiarity with EDA\/ECAD software
\n\u2022 Experience with power electronics, control systems, communications preferred
\n\u2022 Experience with high-volume consumer products preferred
\n\u2022 Familiarity with firmware development using C a plus
\n\u2022 Other software development experience with C++, Python, MATLAB, JavaScript a plus<\/p>\n
