Key Activities<\/div>\n
\u2022 Electronics and Firmware Development \u2013 Design, develop, prototype and test new embedded electronics<\/div>\n
and firmware. Designs must deliver high levels of functionality and reliability in extremely price-sensitive<\/div>\n
markets. Key areas of functionality include low- and medium-voltage DC-DC power conversion, user<\/div>\n
interfaces, sensing and signal processing, data gathering and storage, and communication.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Design for Manufacturing \u2013 Deliver production-ready design artwork and Bills of Materials, and production<\/div>\n
line programming, calibration and testing infrastructure. Travel to, manage and liaise with vendors and<\/div>\n
manufacturing partners.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Management, Strategy and Communication \u2013 Plan and execute across multiple projects and<\/div>\n
development cycles. Track key deliverables and milestones. Coordinate and collaborate closely with<\/div>\n
technical and non-technical colleagues across the product group and the wider company. Help shape the<\/div>\n
strategic direction of product pipelines, technology and design development.<\/div>\n
\u2022 Technical Leadership, Mentoring and Systems Building \u2013 Support, consult with, train and mentor other<\/div>\n
team members in technical design, analysis and systems thinking. Create and improve systems, processes<\/div>\n
and best practices within the electrical team and beyond.<\/div>\n
Key Attributes<\/div>\n
\u2022 5+ years\u2019 experience in electrical engineering, firmware or software development, or related discipline<\/div>\n
\u2022 Strong mathematical and basic engineering foundation<\/div>\n
\u2022 Demonstrated ability to manage and execute interdisciplinary projects<\/div>\n
\u2022 Demonstrated ability to take initiative and learn quickly<\/div>\n
\u2022 Enthusiasm for both challenging hands-on engineering, and management, strategy and leadership<\/div>\n
\u2022 Enthusiasm for new technology, design, and innovation<\/div>\n
\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills<\/div>\n
\u2022 Self-managing and motivated; experience in a start-up environment a plus<\/div>\n
Technical skills<\/div>\n
\u2022 Deep expertise in hardware, firmware or software development, plus familiarity with adjacent disciplines<\/div>\n
\u2022 Experience with power electronics, control systems, embedded systems preferred<\/div>\n
\u2022 Experience with high-volume consumer products preferred<\/div>\n
\u2022 Familiarity with EDA\/ECAD software preferred<\/div>\n
\u2022 Familiarity with firmware development in C preferred<\/div>\n
\u2022 Experience developing software in C++, Python, MATLAB, R, JavaScript or similar preferred<\/div>\n
