There are more details on our website,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/residency.laboratoryspokane.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/residency.<wbr \/>laboratoryspokane.com<\/a>,<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.laboratoryspokane.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Laboratory\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0mission is to provide practicing interactive artists with the time, space, and freedom to make awesome stuff.\u00a0 So we want to offer you space to live, space to work, tools, mentorship, and connections to make that happen.<\/p>\n<p>This coming summer, we\u2019re focusing our session on our local region (eastern Washington state and north Idaho), and we\u2019re looking for projects that respond to our area, whether that be culturally, geologically, historically, architecturally, or some other way that you feel responds to our local region.<\/p>\n<p>Our summer session runs from 01 June 2018 through 31 August 2018, and we\u2019re accepting applications for 1 to 3 month residency periods within that time. We\u2019d love to get yours; details on applying are on the\u00a0<a title=\"How to Apply\" href=\"http:\/\/residency.laboratoryspokane.com\/how-to-apply\/\">How to Apply<\/a>\u00a0page, deadline is 29 December 2017.<\/p>\n<p>If you wouldn\u2019t love to come out, well there\u2019s not much we can do about that. Sorry. :( Maybe\u00a0<a title=\"Mailing List\" href=\"http:\/\/residency.laboratoryspokane.com\/mailing-list\/\">sign up for our newsletter<\/a>, and that\u2019ll change your mind?<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll be sharing a 2 bedroom apartment in a historic building in downtown Spokane, Washington, with attached studio space below. We\u2019ll provide the spaces and a small stipend, and in return,\u00a0we expect you to work hard and put together at least one piece suitable for showing at\u00a0<a title=\"Laboratory\" href=\"http:\/\/www.laboratoryspokane.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in a public exhibition somewhere<\/a>\u00a0(don\u2019t worry, you\u2019ll still own the piece).<\/p>\n<p>We accept applications on three tracks \u2013 one for artists wanting to work on a specific project, one for artists wanting to focus on researching new techniques\/technologies, and one for emerging artists wanting to develop their technical skills.
