NCRCR focuses on public education and outreach, finding ways t=<br \/>\no get the message out about the impact of court rulings on our communities, =<br \/>\nour opportunities and our rights.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, NCRCR seeks an intern to assist with the generation and mana=<br \/>\ngement of Campaign content. The intern will work with the NCRCR Web Coordina=<br \/>\ntor on developing the Campaign=92s website, new media materials, and associa=<br \/>\nted new media properties.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities may include:<\/p>\n<p>=95 Generating fresh content on th=<br \/>\ne Campaign=92s website and blog.<br \/>=95 Updating fact sheets and key content=<br \/>\n about the broad range of issues and communities affected by the rollback of=<br \/>\n civil rights: racial justice, disability rights, women&#39;s rights, access=<br \/>\n to health care, environmental justice, etc.<br \/>\n=95 Helping the media coordinator perform outreach to relevant partner orga=<br \/>\nnizations<br \/>=95 Researching and publishing links to good local and national=<br \/>\n news articles that illustrate the rollback.<br \/>=95 Working with website pro=<br \/>\nducer to help make current, past, and upcoming court cases, legal issues and=<br \/>\n events accessible to the general public.<br \/>\n=95 Maintaining a calendar and list of speakers on a broad range of issues =<br \/>\nincluding racial justice, disability rights, women&#39;s rights, access to h=<br \/>\nealth care, environmental justice, LGBT, etc.<br \/>=95 Assisting in the furthe=<br \/>\nr development of &quot;human stories&quot; =96 compelling and moving audio\/v=<br \/>\nideo stories about real people impacted by the rollback of civil rights.<br \/>\n=95 Creative collaboration on capturing, editing, and packaging audio and v=<br \/>\nideo.<\/p>\n<p>Candidates should:<\/p>\n<p>=95 Have proven excellent oral and wr=<br \/>\nitten communications skills.<br \/>=95 Be able to write about complex concepts =<br \/>\nin everyday English.<br \/>\n=95 Be able to work collaboratively and independently.<br \/>=95 Be able to wo=<br \/>\nrk professionally with organizations and individuals across the country from=<br \/>\n many different backgrounds.<br \/>=95 Be organized with sharp attention to det=<br \/>\nail.<br \/>\n=95 Be computer proficient and have basic knowledge of HTML.<br \/>=95 Prior e=<br \/>\nxperience with audio recording\/editing, digital video recording, and digital=<br \/>\n video editing a plus.<br \/>=95 Second language a plus.<br \/>=95 Be enthusiastic=<br \/>\n, have a good sense of humor and interest in civil rights and social<br \/>\njustice.<\/p>\n<p>This internship is a minimum of 10-15 hours per week, slate=<br \/>\nd to begin in September and continue through December (this position could p=<br \/>\nossibly extend longer). This is a great opportunity for someone studying med=<br \/>\nia, communications or writing\/journalism and seeking a career in social just=<br \/>\nice.
