{"id":19265,"date":"2018-05-02T14:34:10","date_gmt":"2018-05-02T18:34:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/?p=19265"},"modified":"2018-05-02T14:34:10","modified_gmt":"2018-05-02T18:34:10","slug":"job-nyu-student-technology-innovation-team-ux-writer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/itp.nyu.edu\/opportunities\/2018\/05\/02\/job-nyu-student-technology-innovation-team-ux-writer\/","title":{"rendered":"JOB: NYU Student Technology Innovation Team, UX Writer"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>NYU Student Technology Innovation Team<\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Student UX Writer<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe NYU IT, OTSS Student Technology Innovation Team (STIT) is looking for a student who<br \/>\ncan advocate for web and mobile designs and help shape product experience by crafting copy<br \/>\nthat helps users complete the task at hand.<br \/>\nSTIT is a agile team of student software developers and designer who develop &amp; support<br \/>\ncustom student applications.<br \/>\nNote:\u200b Employment \u200bis on a semesterly basis with the potential for extension based on<br \/>\nperformance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><br \/>\n\u25cf Writing for design as driven by user goals.<br \/>\n\u25cf Partnering with the STIT UX team to define user models and interfaces.<br \/>\n\u25cf Writing and editing digital content that meets project goals and end user needs for<br \/>\ncomplex efforts.<br \/>\n\u25cf Partnering with STIT and NYU IT designers, software developers, internal business<br \/>\nstakeholders and functional teams to define content requirements and strategies.<br \/>\nSkills<br \/>\n\u25cf Understanding of, or experience with, user experience design, &amp; copywriting.<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience in creating and executing on a content strategy within the interactive space.<br \/>\n\u25cf Passion for creating great user experiences with actionable knowledge of the digital<br \/>\nlandscape including current industry and user trends, emerging technologies, and<br \/>\nstandards.<br \/>\n\u25cf Familiarity with at least one design software such as Photoshop, Sketch, Illustrator<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Details:<\/strong><br \/>\nThis is a year-round (renewed on a semester basis based on performance) paid position and<br \/>\nnot an internship.<\/p>\n<p>The hourly rate is $20\/hour.The work schedule is flexible and can accommodate the candidate&#8217;s<br \/>\nclass schedule.During the semester the candidate is expected to work 15-20 hours a week and<br \/>\n20-35 hours during extended breaks including summer.
