Hunter College is in need of a professor or two for two Web Production courses\u00a0 – one introductory (Wednesday<\/span><\/span>\u00a07-9:40PM<\/span><\/span>) and one advanced (Tuesday<\/span><\/span>\u00a01:10-4pm<\/span><\/span>).\u00a0 These are fall semester undergraduate courses running from\u00a08\/27\/2018-12\/21\/2018<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in the Department of Film & Media Studies at Hunter College, 68th & Lexington.<\/p>\n

MEDP 285 Web Production 1\u00a0Wednesday<\/span><\/span>\u00a07-9:40PM<\/span><\/span>\u00a08\/27\/2018-12\/21\/2018<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
Course Description and Objectives: This hands-on class teaches you the skills needed to build basic, well- designed websites. Learn how to layout pages, format text, and optimize images for professional-looking web pages. Classes cover HTML, CSS, introductory JavaScript and JS Frameworks, well as manipulating text and graphics, creating and optimizing GIFs and JPEGs, animated GIFs. Lectures and exercises focus on creating cohesive user experiences for the web with effective information architecture, well-designed interfaces, interactivity and usability.<\/div>\n

MEDP 331 Web Production 2\u00a0Tuesday<\/span><\/span>\u00a01:10-4pm<\/span><\/span>\u00a08\/27\/2018-12\/21\/2018<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
Web Production II builds upon the tools employed in Web Production I to begin developing dynamic websites. Advanced coding methods will be introduced such as JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, XML, JSON. Students will develop multiple interactive web projects using a range of methods and tools. The projects will cultivate an understanding of user-centered design and development of effective websites across multiple genres.<\/div>\n
