\n\u2022 Lead Product Development Programs\u2014Strategize, plan and drive individual
\nproduct development programs to meet milestones and market launch timelines.
\nMentor interns and entry level engineers.
\n\u2022 Product Engineering\u2014Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical design and
\ndetailing for a range of clean-energy products across cooking, charging and lighting
\ntechnologies. Collaborate with industrial design, EE, R&D, manufacturing and
\nmarketing teams.
\n\u2022 Design for Manufacturing (DFM)\u2013 Execute and deliver production-ready 3D CAD
\nfiles and Bills of Materials, including components material specifications, tolerances,
\nand finishes. Travel to and liaise with prototype vendors and manufacturing partners.
\n\u2022 Skill Building and Facilities\u2014Build and integrate mechanical and prototyping
\ncapabilities within the company. Procure, maintain, and evolve computer, shop, and
\nlab equipment. Help shape the strategic direction of product pipelines, technology
\nand design development.
\n\u2022 Technology Development\u2014As part of our broader team, identify and develop
\ntechnologies that can be applied to emerging and outdoor recreation markets in
\nvarious areas including cooking, energy-access, lighting and off-grid living.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 5-10 years\u2019 experience in high-volume consumer product engineering
\n\u2022 Demonstrated ability to develop ideas and concepts into real products
\n\u2022 Experience working on multidisciplinary product teams including industrial design and
\nuser research activities
\n\u2022 Skilled in experimentation, testing, analysis and research
\n\u2022 Demonstrated experience leading teams and projects
\n\u2022 Enthusiasm for new technology, design and innovation
\n\u2022 Accountability, sense of humor, proactive nature and work ethic
\n\u2022 Self-managing and motivated; experience in a start-up environment a plus
\n\u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
\n\u2022 Experience in electronics, thermal systems, LED lights and power storage a plus
\nTechnical skills
\n\u2022 Advanced 3D CAD skills in either Pro-Engineer, Solidworks, or AutoCAD including
\ncurvature-continuous surface modeling and multi-part mechanical assemblies
\n\u2022 Ability to design parts for high volume manufacturing processes, including tooling,
\nproduction and assembly processes for metal forming and plastics molding
\n\u2022 Technical knowledge of a wide range of materials and coatings
\n\u2022 Working knowledge of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics
\n\u2022 Familiarity with digital electronics, sensors, circuits, and data acquisition
\n\u2022 Extensive knowledge of prototyping processes, including rapid prototyping
\n\u2022 Hands-on machine shop experience; ability to create through physical fabrication<\/p>\n
