Creative Time Open Call<\/h3>\n

We are currently accepting applications from\u00a0NYC based emerging artists to propose a new public project.<\/b>\u00a0The selected artist will\u00a0work closely with our team to produce the new work in spring\/summer 2019.\u00a0<\/b>We’ll accept applications until January 18 at 11:59 PM.<\/p>\n

This is an exciting opportunity for practicing artists to experiment in the public realm- and to produce ideas that can spark public dialogue and comment on a contemporary social issue.<\/p>\n

December 10, 2018: Application window opens<\/p>\n

January 18, 2019: Application window closes<\/p>\n

Late January 2019: Shortlisted artists notified<\/p>\n

February 2019: Artist selection announced<\/p>\n

Spring\/Summer 2019: Public artwork presented in New York City<\/p>\n

Eligibility :<\/p>\n

The open call is intended for emerging artists, regardless of age, at a critical career juncture in which the opportunity to experiment and receive resources from a major arts organization would be impactful. Please see the specific parameters of eligibility below:<\/p>\n

-Artists must have experience conceiving and executing works or projects, but have not yet received a public art commission or substantial support from a major arts institution<\/p>\n

-Artist must be over 21, and based in the New York City area<\/p>\n

-Applicants cannot be currently enrolled in a degree program<\/p>\n
