\nWe are currently accepting portfolio submissions for a 6 month paid internship, starting month
\nand ending in month. In your internship, you will support the Boma team, taking direction from
\nthe CEO and Head of Global Partnerships, outside creative agencies, and other team members
\nas needed. Tasks vary greatly depending on the end client and particular project. The job
\nrequires one to be flexible and adaptable as projects arise, but it also means you won\u2019t get
\nbored. Here are some things you could be working on:
\n\u25cf Assisting with creating design elements for Boma website
\n\u25cf Creating Instagram grids for social media properties
\n\u25cf Assisting with internal branding projects as needed
\n\u25cf Formatting reports, proposals, and other documents
\n\u25cf Contributing to brainstorms and internal meetings for new product designs
\n\u25cf Keeping organized files of design assets
\n\u25cf Helping out with administrative tasks related to the design department as needed
\n(getting quotes for printing, doing research, collecting inspiration examples)
\n\u25cf Thinking strategically to solve marketing problems, and how design fits into that solution
\n\u25cf Doing research and contributing to brainstorms with various team members as we work
\nto solve marketing problems<\/p>\n
Over time, Boma design interns will be building up proficiency in skills that will be useful either
\nas a full-time designer at Boma, or in a position at another agency or in-house at a brand.
\n\u25cf The ability to respond to a client\u2019s expectations
\n\u25cf Being able to adjust the visual tone of your design work to the project
\n\u25cf Taking existing assets and building on them, resulting in a stronger piece of
\ncommunication
\n\u25cf Being able to take minimal direction from team members and fill in the gaps by
\nsuggesting creative solutions
\n\u25cf Interpreting client and colleague requests when they themselves are not designers
\n\u25cf Coming to the table with fresh ideas and approaches to design problems<\/p>\n
\u25cf Working with all members of the team as needs arise, and flowing from project to project
\nwith ease

\nBoma is a face pace learning environment \u2013 a startup in every sense of the word. While it\u2019s
\nimportant you take direction from other members of the team, you will be the one driving the
\ndesign process.
\nDaily\/Weekly
\nWe touch base as a team to catch up on what needs to be done that week, where people need
\nhelp, and to share any recent learnings on a daily\/weekly basis.
\nMonthly
\nYou will meet with the CEO monthly one-on-one to touch base on how you\u2019re doing in your role,
\nwhere you may need more help, or other ways to maximize success. This is not a test – we want
\nto you to learn and grow, and to enjoy yourself in the process.<\/p>\n
