From day one, you\u2019ll have the responsibility and the support you need to make a difference on a massive scale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Role Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>As an intern at Dropbox, you\u2019ll be an integral member of the Design Research team, working and learning alongside our talented team. This is a full time summer internship for 40 hours\/week for a period of 12 weeks. This is an opportunity to develop skills and expertise in research coordination and execution, cross-functional team collaboration, and actionable insight. Interns will be provided with one-on-one mentorship and feedback throughout their internship and will also be considered for a full-time offer upon graduation pending business need and performance.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><strong>Example opportunities<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(dependent<\/strong><strong>\u00a0on prior experience)\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Recruiting \u2014 Get involved in the process of screening and managing participants<\/li>\n<li>Partnering \u2014 Support a researcher to conduct an interview, on-site or remotely<\/li>\n<li>Testing \u2014 Conduct a concept or usability test related to one of our key products<\/li>\n<li>Analyzing \u2014 Evaluate a survey that helps us better understand a segment of users<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating \u2014 Host a workshop with designers to inform decision-making<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with researchers and product teams to identify research questions<\/li>\n<li>Examine existing insights and product designs to generate hypotheses about how we can improve the user experience<\/li>\n<li>Design, plan, and execute user research projects in collaboration with other researchers, designers, product managers and engineers<\/li>\n<li>Conduct research using a range of qualitative methods and a subset of quantitative methods, such as surveys<\/li>\n<li>Communicate research findings and recommendations to stakeholders in compelling and creative ways<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree (graduating in\/after Dec 2019) in Anthropology, Business, Design, Humanities, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Journalism, Liberal Arts, Neuroscience, Psychology, Sociology, (or similar); or have equivalent work experience with User Experience, Product, or Design teams<\/li>\n<li>Clear presentation and communication style<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated skills for collaborating closely with others<\/li>\n<li>Experience conducting independent research (qualitative or quantitative)<\/li>\n<li>One sample that highlights your research approach (i.e. past work, a classroom report, a personal project)<\/li>\n<li>Bonus: experience with visual design and\/or database management (e.g. SQL)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dropbox is an equal opportunity employer.
