SecondMuse<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0NYCEDC<\/a>\u2019s Futureworks Shops program returns for its second year.\u00a0Futureworks Shops<\/a>\u00a0is New York City\u2019s collaborative network of prototyping and innovation spaces where hardware startups turn their ideas into reality. All throughout 2019, you can access subsidized and discounted workspace, machinery and consulting expertise throughout the city. From studio space at NYDesigns in Long Island City, to CNC expertise at Supersmith in Red Hook, it\u2019s all here. Futureworks Shops also introduces the Futureworks Shops\u00a0R&D (FWRD) Fellowship<\/a>, an open research program that prepares and connects industrial designers and engineers with growing startups.<\/p>\n Designed and run by\u00a0Tomorrow Lab<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Brooklyn Research<\/a>,\u00a0FWRD<\/a>\u00a0is a three-month program to mentor and train up currently-unemployed engineers, designers and creative technologists. Besides a monthly stipend, you\u2019ll receive coaching, workspace, Shop access and connection to growing hardware startups. The goal?
