UNIVERSITAT ROVIRA I VIRGILI\r\n\r\nPOSITIONS OFFERED:\r\n\r\nTwo PhD positions with full scholarship support (tuition and stipend) to\r\nstart in fall 2019.\r\n\r\nDESCRIPTION:\r\n\r\nSelected candidates will work with the CRISES research group (\r\nhttp:\/\/crises-deim.urv.cat<\/a>) and the UNESCO Chair in Data Privacy, within\r\nCYBERCAT-Center for Cybersecurity Research of Catalonia.\r\n\r\nUniversitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) is located in Tarragona, Catalonia, a\r\nUNESCO World Heritage city 90 km south of Barcelona, on the Mediterranean\r\ncoast. URV ranks among the world's top 150 universities in computer\r\nscience, and as the world's 78th best university under 50 years of age.\r\n\r\nThe topic of the PhD theses will be on security and privacy technologies,\r\ntouching on cryptography, anonymization, machine learning and\r\nexplainability.\r\n\r\nREQUIREMENTS:\r\n\r\nCandidates should have completed or be about to complete by summer 2019 a\r\nMaster's degree in computer science, mathematics or telecom engineering,\r\nwith excellent academic record.\r\n\r\nAPPLICATION:\r\n\r\nCandidates should send to Prof. Josep Domingo-Ferrer (josep.domingo@urv.cat<\/a>\r\n, https:\/\/crises-deim.urv.cat\/jdomingo<\/a>):\r\n\r\na) Their CV (inc. list of publications, if any);\r\n\r\nb) Their academic record (with marks);\r\n\r\nc) A certificate of English (TOEFL, Cambridge or similar);\r\n\r\nd) Their scores in the GRE General test or the GRE Mathematics Test (in\r\ncase they have passed those tests).\r\n\r\nDEADLINE: June 20, 2019\r\n<\/pre>\n
