These course historically have been taught by adjunct instructors, each of whom have scheduling conflicts for the Fall semester. The courses are being offered at Rose Hill (RH) campus in the Bronx (441 East Fordham Road, Bronx, NY 10458).<\/p>\n<p>CISC2350-R01, \u00a0Information and Web Programming, at RH campus, MR 5:30-6:45pm<br \/>\nCISC2540-R01, \u00a0Introduction to Video Game Design, at RH campus, MR 4:00-5:15pm<br \/>\nCISC4650-R01, \u00a0Cyberspace: Issues and Ethics, at RH campus, TF 1:00-2:15pm<\/p>\n<p>The description for each course is provided below. I think typical alumni from your program would be good fits for the class. Information and Web Programming. (4 Credits)<br \/>\nUsing a process of incremental development, students will learn the latest technologies used in developing dynamic, database-driven websites. Principles of good web design will be covered, as well as techniques and languages for layout and scripting. The course is open to students of all backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>CISC 2540. Introduction to Video Game Design. (4 Credits)<br \/>\nThis course provides a gentle and fun introduction to the design and production of computer-based video games, for students with no prior programming experience. Students will learn principles of game design, and apply them to create an actual computer game. Students will also research aspects of games and\/or the game industry, write term papers about their topics, and give presentations on them.<\/p>\n<p>CISC 4650. Cyberspace: Issues and Ethics. (4 Credits)<br \/>\nThe impact of computer information and communication technology on the way people act, think, live, behave and communicate will be studied. Students will be given hands-on experience of the Internet. Information and communication facilities such as the World Wide Web, gopher, chat groups and Bulletin boards are investigated.
