The Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts<\/b>, a newly established $57M facility and academic degree at the University of Nebraska\u2013Lincoln, is re-envisioning the university for the 21st\u00a0<\/sup>century. We are seeking a foundational faculty team willing to overcome the status quo and foster authentic voices that reimagine\u00a0immersive design, immersive + interactive media, cinematic arts, virtual and mixed reality, gaming, sonic arts, data + art, physical computing, virtual production and spatial and experience design.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n We are seeking:<\/b><\/p>\n An Assistant or Associate Professor of Emerging Media Arts:\u00a0<\/b>Computational Artist \/ Designer \/ Developer<\/p>\n Two Assistant or Associate Professors of Practice of Emerging Media Arts:\u00a0<\/b>Interactive Media; Virtual Production; Virtual and Mixed Reality; Physical Computing; Gaming: Sonic Arts; Experience Design; Creative Coding<\/p>\n These positions come with stipends to support research and creative activity and innovative teaching practices.<\/p>\n We envision being the premiere destination for an innovative faculty seeking a fresh social vision that plays to the innermost recesses of our imaginations, solves human-scale problems and tells breathtaking stories that stimulate, provoke and inspire.<\/p>\n Our approach to learning relies more on collaboration than competition in an environment where exploration, experimentation, analysis, risk, and failure can freely occur.
