Innovation Director<\/p>\n
Sustainable South Bronx (SSBx), a not-for-profit environmental justice
\nsolutions organization located in The
\nBronx, New York, is seeking an Innovation Director to manage, design
\nand market the SSBx FabLab
\nprogram to and outside the South Bronx Community. The position will
\nprovide the candidate an in-depth
\nand unique experience with the non-profit and social-enterprise sector
\nwith regard to developing and
\noverseeing all aspects of the SSBx FabLab and other Social-enterprise
\nendeavors in a high-impact and
\nuniquely grass-roots organization. Challenges include creating
\ninnovative approaches and methods while
\nbalancing out the practical aspects of optimal delivery and maximum
\nimpact of program services. The
\nposition requires contributing leadership and expertise in Digital-
\nlearning Technologies and Sciences,
\nTechnology, Education and Mathematics (STEM) education, particularly
\nas it relates to the achievement of
\nstudents from the South Bronx and other low-income communities.<\/p>\n
The Innovation Director will use and develop advanced program
\nmanagement, marketing and
\ncommunication skills, implement program evaluation and improvement
\ninitiatives, as well as apply technical
\nskills. Ability to multitask is a must. In addition, the Innovation
\nDirector will benefit from practical
\nexperience working with a nationally recognized community-based non-
\nprofit organization.<\/p>\n
POSTION SUMMARY:
\nThe Innovation Director is responsible for overseeing the overall
\noperations of the youth and adult
\nprograms in the SSBx FabLab, development of college prep, youth
\nprogram agreements, and the
\ndevelopment of business plans for the FabLab program, including the
\nexploration of earned-income
\nopportunities.<\/p>\n
