MAKE+THINK+CODE MISSION:<\/b><\/p>\n

Make+Think+Code is a hub of emerging technology, an instructional facility that enables PNCA art and design students and the external community to learn, research, and create.\u00a0 Workshops, community events, and curriculum create an environment that inspires and nurtures creative applications for technology.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Through access to emerging technology, M+T+C offers students opportunities for innovative curricular pathways, providing space for new ideas and exposure to tools and skills taught by industry professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n

OVERVIEW:<\/b><\/p>\n

Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Director of Make+Think+Code.\u00a0 The M+T+C Director works in collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and community partners to achieve the Make+Think+Code Mission.\u00a0 This is a full-time year-round staff position that serves the academic mission of the college.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The successful candidate will bring energy, expertise, vision, and a desire to work closely with internal and external communities of PNCA to create a robust center of creative technology recognized both locally and beyond.\u00a0 The candidate will bridge strong local and regional connections to national and international dialogue, creative communities, practices and resources. The Director will manage the facility and contribute to the ongoing development of PNCA\u2019s degree-granting curriculum in Interactive Design, Intermedia, Collaborative Design \/ Design Systems, and related areas such as digital fabrication, VR\/AR, physical computing, and creative coding.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
