NBC is currently reviewing portfolios of qualified Mid level UI De=
\nsigners who will research, architect, and design highly usable interactive e=
\nxperiences for web and software interfaces.  We are looking for someone=
\n who is passionate about creating experiences that are intuitive and drive b=
\nusiness goals.
 
Candidates must be able to show examples of ho=
\nw they solved complicated problems without burdening users with complexity. Attention to detail
 
Specific Responsibilities:
* Desi=
\ngn wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate the user =
\nexperience of features to internal stakeholders and project team members
=
\n * Produce high quality GUI elements and ensure aesthetic quality of interfa=
\nces
 
Basic Qualifications Required:
* Minimum 2 years user=
\n experience design
* Proven experience designing customer facing interfa=
\nces
* Strong understanding of UI\/UX\/IA principles and best practices
=
\n * Must have experience creating prototypes using InDesign CS3
* Knowled=
\nge or familiarity with user research, usability testing
* Excellent visu=
\nal and oral\/written communication skills
* Passion for and demonstrated =
\nknowledge of user-centered design
* Excellent black and white layout and=
\n Information Design skills
* Attention to detail
 
Preferr=
\ned Qualifications:
* Degree in design or related discipline
* Hands =
\non development experience
* Additional software\/platform experience: Ad=
\nobe – Creative Suite
* Experience with use cases, user stories, and othe=
\nr documentation
* Knowledge or familiarity with Html\/Flash
* Knowled=
\nge or familiarity with CMS systems  
* Sketching by hand
