I am excited to share with you the launch of The Green-Wood Cemetery\u2019s new artist-in-residence program<\/a>. Beginning in 2021, this nine-month-long residency (January\u2013 September 2021) will offer one artist the opportunity to create a project or body of work inspired by the Cemetery\u2019s beautiful natural landscape, stunning monuments, and compelling history. Applications will be accepted until September 2.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The residency is open to emerging or mid-career artists residing in New York City and working in the visual and\/or performing arts. The artist will be provided a $7,500 honorarium, private studio space in the landmarked Fort Hamilton Gatehouse, and access to the Cemetery\u2019s professional staff and archives and historical collections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
