\nortunity for film, arts administration and nonprofit management students as =
\nwell as young filmmakers: learn how a nonprofit film festival works and see =
\nhundreds of great movies. Rooftop Films is seeking interns for Fall 2009. Applications are due no later than September 28, 2009. <\/b><\/font><\/p>\n

The internships can be done for school credit. Find=
\n out your school=92s internship or field work credit requirements and we wil=
\nl work with you to accommodate them. Candidates would be expected to average=
\n at least two days a week and generally the more time you can commit the bet=
\nter. Our offices are on the border of Park Slope and Gowanus, near the R, F,=
\n M and G trains in Brooklyn, so please apply only if you will be able to han=
\ndle that commute. We welcome graduate students and applicants finishing thei=
\nr 1st year of college (or age equivalent) or older. <\/font><\/div>\n

Internship tasks can include:<\/b><\/font><\/div>\n

\nracking and requesting new independent films<\/font><\/div>\n
+ Organizing=
\n film screenings<\/font><\/div>\n
+ Audio and video tech work<\/font><\/div>\n

+ Assist with grant preparation and fundraising<\/font><\/div>\n

\nContacting, corresponding and hosting filmmakers<\/font><\/div>\n
+ Organi=
\nzing and maintaining film databases<\/font><\/div>\n
+ Logging and capturi=
\nng films and footage<\/font><\/div>\n
+ Organizing our tape library<\/font>=\n<\/div>\n
+ General office work<\/font><\/div>\n
+ Anything else you mi=
\nght be interested in=97we want you to see how we work<\/font><\/div>\n

Candidates should have good experience working with Microsoft O=
\nffice (particularly Excel) and experience with Filemaker, HTML, design progr=
\nams or video editing software is a plus. In addition, our interns will have =
\nan opportunity to learn a variety of technical skills, including Avid and Fi=
\nnal Cut Pro digital editing skills. Internships are unpaid. <\/font><\/p>\n
