The Metrograph is launching a unique fellowship for cinema professionals in the Fall of 2021. Unlike traditional fellowships which focus solely on emerging artists, the Metrograph Fellowship will cultivate talent in the business and craft of cinema. In providing an experience unlike any other, the Metrograph will immerse fellows into the world of cinema and shape an emerging class of creative professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Fellows will also serve as ambassadors for Metrograph, creating opportunities and content for their communities with, around, and about Metrograph.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n ABOUT THE METROGRAPH FELLOWSHIP<\/b><\/p>\n The Metrograph Fellowship is a 15 week professional fellowship (with an option to extend) open to undergraduate<\/span> college seniors, graduate students, and recent graduates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fellows will work within their departments for 15-20 hours per week (schedules to be determined among Fellows, Head of Fellowship, and Department Heads) on department specific projects and their own portfolio projects.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n There will be regular cohort meetings with the Head of Fellowship as well as guests from across the industry and Metrograph community.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This is a paid opportunity.\u00a0 Metrograph Fellows will be paid an hourly rate of $25 and must be eligible to work in the US.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Fellowship will begin in Fall 2021\/Winter 2022 and is expected to be both in person at Metrograph\u2019s theater and offices on Ludlow Street in New York City and virtually as the changing Covid protocols, departmental needs, and individual Fellows needs influence and change this expectation.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2021-2022 DEPARTMENTS & JDS<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Metrograph is seeking aspiring cinema professionals for the inaugural METROGRAPH FELLOWSHIP.<\/b><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Business Development & Strategy<\/b><\/p>\n The Business Development & Strategy Fellow will work closely with the CEO on projects directly related to growing Metrograph\u2019s business verticals and brand. The ideal candidate would be a business student or recent alumni with interest and experience in the independent film space – most specifically digital and theatrical distribution – and in business strategy.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Programming & Programming Operations<\/b><\/p>\n The Programming & Programming Operations<\/span> Fellow will be a part of the team responsible for programming for Metrograph In Theater and At Home.\u00a0 The Programming Fellow will also have the opportunity to program their own series\/program at the Metrograph.\u00a0 The ideal candidate will be curious about diverse cinema and passionate about bringing distinctive voices to wider audiences.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Projection & Digital Exhibition<\/b><\/p>\n The Projection Fellow will be an integral part of the workflow of the Technical, Programming, and Digital department workflows and get to know the operations of Metrograph\u2019s At Home and In Theatre exhibition.
