As part of the\u00a0NYU\u00a0community,\u00a0I was wondering if anyone at\u00a0ITP might be interested in this\u00a0website and app development\u00a0opportunity at Animated Ecologies (animatedecologies.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Animated Ecologies is a global arts, animation and sustainable photography project, with a focus on\u00a0helping the under-represented and disadvantaged gain education, access and technical support with digital storytelling.\u00a0We also work in the arts education pace at institutions such as the Royal College of Art in London,\u00a0Pathshala\u00a0in Dhaka,\u00a0VGIK\u00a0Film School in Moscow providing training and collaborative opportunities in impact filmmaking.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

On February 24th, AE will\u00a0be hosting a\u00a0Colloquium\u00a0on Indigenous Art and Advocacy in conjunction with Global Liberal Studies program at NYU and Contingencies: a journal of global pedagogy. Bringing together indigenous people and organizations from several of our partnership areas, the materials brought together will cover a range of forms including\u00a0music,\u00a0mural creation, performance, film and video.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We are looking for someone interested in helping us develop a website and community hub that curates and archives this event and provides an ongoing environment where we can connect indigenous communities with\u00a0technical ,\u00a0production and distribution support for their ongoing work through Film Corp, our volunteer community of professional impact filmmakers. The position would involve full creative crediting and can be conducted as a volunteer position, or as a more formally monitored internship.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Animated Ecologies was founded by Sean Eve, Clinical Associate Professor, Liberal Studies, NYU and\u00a0Edd\u00a0Carr, co-founder of Northern Sustainable Darkroom, a photographic collective and advocacy organization based in Leeds, UK.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Kydana\u00a0Ignateva, Curator of the contemporary art festival, LETO\u00a0Yakutia,\u00a0who works with mural arts\u00a0and other forms\u00a0of creative expression to support\u00a0within the Yakut\u00a0communities\u00a0in\u00a0North Eastern Russia;<\/p>\n

Andre Bouchard,\u00a0of Kootenai\/Ojibwa\/Pend\u00a0d’Orielle\/Salish descent, and\u00a0the Director ofIndigenous Performance Productions, a company that\u00a0runs First Nation music and storytelling events across the United States;<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Loretta Fernandez, Visiting Professor, University of Pittsburgh, who is\u00a0working with\u00a0a\u00a0team from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and Carnegie Mellon University and member of the Yupik and\u00a0Gwich\u2019in\u00a0speaking communities on a video game project to combat language extinction;<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Robert\u00a0Ailton\u00a0Willard,\u00a0the Director of the World Aral\u00a0Region Charity,\u00a0whose organization\u00a0is working with members of the\u00a0Karakalpak\u00a0minority\u00a0in Uzbekistan\u00a0on musical and\u00a0performancecentered testimonial projects;<\/p>\n

Andrea Duarte,\u00a0Co-founder of\u00a0Outra\u00a0Margem, an\u00a0indigenous\u00a0art, performance and filmmaking collective in San Paolo, Brazil;<\/p>\n
