MAGNUM:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Magnum represents some of the world\u2019s most renowned photographers,\u00a0 maintaining its founding ideals and idiosyncratic mix of journalism, art and\u00a0 storytelling. Magnum photographers share a vision to chronicle world events,\u00a0 people, places and culture with a powerful narrative that defies convention,\u00a0 shatters the status quo, redefines history and transforms lives. Magnum\u00a0 photographers are a rarity and the agency is self-selecting, with a 4 year long\u00a0 process. The membership has evolved over the years to encompass the work\u00a0 of almost 100 diverse photographers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We have offices in New York, London, and Paris, and work with press,\u00a0 publishers, advertising, television, galleries and museums across the world.\u00a0 We have a traveling roster of over 100 exhibitions, education initiatives focused\u00a0 on the next generation of visual storytellers, an ecommerce platform, and an\u00a0 editorial platform telling stories across art, culture, news and photography to\u00a0 our audience of over 5.5 million.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ABOUT THE ROLE:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

We are looking for a Agency Producer to work closely with the Partnerships\u00a0 team (Assignments + Licensing), photographers and assistants to manage and\u00a0 execute pitches and projects for a variety of clients (commercial and editorial).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This role would not only own the Commercial and Editorial production but also\u00a0 dip into various functions to take on discrete responsibilities across cultural,\u00a0 education and digital partnerships, as needed to move projects and delivery\u00a0 forward.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

PRODUCTION\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

– Manage production requirements for photo shoot projects:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Confirm all details of shoot\/projects are covered in the\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

pre-production process whenever possible to ensure a\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

smooth shoot (photographer equipment needs, travel,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

permissions,access, etc.)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Manage workflow and maintain budgets and estimates for\u00a0 photo shoots\/projects\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Coordinate times and dates for shoots and licensing\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

requests\/projects; identify andmanage external production\u00a0 partners when necessary, and when budget will allow\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Keep track of fulfilled assignments after they have been\u00a0 shot \u2013 manage embargoes, pub dates, payments, billing, etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Manage traffic; download and transfer completed jobs and files\u00a0 to clients\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Magnum agency point of contact for production and\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

postproduction process for both photographers and\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

production partners\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Make sure the production team uploads files and they have\u00a0 the correct caption\/restriction\/embargo info. to upload on pro\u00a0 site and to ensure that all assignment related documents are correctly archived\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Liaise with photographer representatives and photographers to\u00a0 ensure smooth departmental billing process\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Filter photographer and third party queries regarding payment \u2014 work with finance team to coordinate payment\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Coordinate projects account payable and receivable\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Submit invoices per individual, proprietary company specifications Keep a record of pitches and billed assignments in Airtable\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Coordinate the Partnerships marketing tools\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Coordinate with digital team to get new\/relevant content up on\u00a0 MP social channels and keep the creative website updated\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

WHO YOU ARE:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

– Exceptionally organized with a keen eye for detail – Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities, multitasking or last\u00a0 minute projects\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Forward thinking and able to easily \u2018connect the dots\u2019 so that the\u00a0 ripple effect of certain actions and decisions is obvious ahead of\u00a0 time\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– An excellent relationship builder with strong negotiation and\u00a0 communication skills\u2014you enjoy networking and getting to know\u00a0 team members and partners\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Naturally inquisitive, deliberate, and collaborative team player,\u00a0 which makes you open and eager to engage with feedback\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Able to bring structure to creative discussions and translate these\u00a0 discussions into measurable tasks and project plans\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

– 2+ years of production experience, ideally in photography or\u00a0 advertising agency\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Experience with process analysis and improvement\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Experience developing and managing internal (up, across and\u00a0 down) and external relationships\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– Proficient across Airtable, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets etc),\u00a0 Slack and PM software (Asana)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

– French speaking in addition to English a plus <\/span><\/p>\n
