The Role
Bloomberg is seeking a senior User Modeling expert t=
\no design and develop Web Personalization (Adaptive Hypermedia) systems. =

The New York based job involves the development of highly-scalable,=
\n high-performing internet applications that learn what users want to do and =
\nadapt on a user by user case to provide a personalized user experience. The =
\napplications will go beyond the standard recommendation engine applications =
\nto affect the entire user experience. The successful candidate will architec=
\nt the entire system from data collection and processing to the data mining c=
\nomponent. This high-profile, exciting role will be leading a truly transform=
\native initiative that will impact an entire industry.<\/p>\n
The position is=
\n open to experienced candidates on management or individual contributor care=
\ner paths; in either case, it will involve working closely with the developme=

Bloomberg is looking for a very senior Interaction Design professional exp=
\nerienced in the design of complex software products and business systems. Th=
\nis is a unique opportunity to influence one of the most ubiquitous and influ=
\nential software products in the marketplace. Although this is not a manageme=
\nnt role, this position will directly report to Bloomberg’s Chief Technology =
\nOfficer. <\/p>\n
This is a position for the serious designer who thrive=
\ns on being in the trenches, responsible for designing and maintaining a coll=
\naborative environment across the Bloomberg Product Management and Technology=
\n groups. This role will ensure effective involvement of end users in early p=

\n innovators with extremely strong interaction design skills, user research a=
\nnd usability testing expertise, and an eye for aesthetics. We are looking fo=
\nr a multi-disciplinary team player who can quickly learn our organization’s =
\nneeds and culture and take responsibility for critical design decisions rega=

User Experience Sp=
\necialists at Bloomberg form a core team that serves as a consulting resource=
\n for the highest-visibility business application and platform projects. We c=
\nollaborate closely with product and technical managers, graphic designers, t=
\nechnical writers, programmers, and end users. The person in this role will v=
\nisualize, plan, and deliver new products and major enhancements. Our client-=
\nserver technology means that we specify interaction at a very granular level=
\n. User Experience Specialists create and maintain these standards as well as=

The candidate should have a track record of applying common User-Cen=
