The Office of Sustainability is<br \/>\noffering a limited number of $3,000 grants in Summer 2022.<br \/>\nLearn more and apply on our website:<br \/>\nhttps:\/\/www.nyu.edu\/life\/sustainability\/programs\/sustainability-internship-gra<br \/>\nnt.html<br \/>\nStudent Eligibility<br \/>\n\u25cf Summer session enrollment is not required. Fall 2022 enrollment is<br \/>\nrequired.<br \/>\n\u25cf Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.<br \/>\n\u25cf Students must secure the internship prior to the application deadline.<br \/>\n\u25cf Students attending NYU in F-1 or J-1 status are eligible to apply as long<br \/>\nas they fulfill all other requirements for the grant and for maintaining<br \/>\ntheir immigration status. Please contact OGS to learn more about<br \/>\nauthorization for unpaid internships and volunteer work.<br \/>\nInternship Requirements<br \/>\n\u25cf Students must intern a minimum of 20 hours per week for a minimum<br \/>\nof 8 weeks at an unpaid\/low-paying internship in a qualifying industry.<br \/>\nCumulative hours will not be accepted.<br \/>\n\u25cf The unpaid\/low-paying internship must be in the sustainability field.<br \/>\nExamples of accepted internship areas include (but are not limited to):<br \/>\nenvironmental justice, urban greening, renewable energy, urban<br \/>\nplanning, food systems, environmental policy, natural resource<br \/>\nmanagement, transportation, and waste management.<br \/>\n\u25cf Low-paying internships pay no more than $14\/hr.<br \/>\nImportant Dates<br \/>\n\u25cf Applications Open: Friday, April 1, 2022<br \/>\n\u25cf Application Deadline: Monday, May 2, 2022, 11:59pm ET<br \/>\n\u25cf Decision Notification: Friday, May 27, 2022<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>the Office of Sustainability is offering a number of $3,000 grants to students pursuing unpaid or low-paying internships in the sustainability field.
