Position Summary <\/span><\/div>\n

\n Design, develop, program and manage websites, databases, departmental serv=
\ners and other computing and office automation systems for the Institute for =
\nthe Study of the Ancient World (ISAW). Formulate policies, establish priorit=
\nies, independently resolve routine and non-routine technical matters; provid=
\ne technical analysis, user support and oversee repairs\/upgrades for the full=
\n range of ISAW’s computing and office automation needs; manage administrativ=
\ne and technical functions for the Institute; collaborate with central Inform=
\nation Technology Services and other university departments to ensure a compl=
\nete, up-to-date and smoothly functioning IT infrastructure. Provide direct I=
\nT support for events and other special requirements.   <\/span><\/p>\n

Qualifications\/Requi=
\nred Education <\/span><\/span><\/div>\n
<\/span> \t \t Bachelor’s degree in=
\n computer science, information science, computer engineering or a closely re=
\nlated field.   <\/span><\/div>\n

\n Master’s degree in computer science, information science, comp=
\nuter engineering or a closely related field.         &nb=

Required Experience <\/span><\/font><\/font><\/div>\n
<\/span> \t \t Four years of relevant exper=
\nience and\/or combination of education. Must include administration of Macint=
\nosh servers, website creation and maintenance, and design, deployment and ma=
\nnagement of databases.   <\/span><\/font><\/font><\/div>\n

\n <\/span> \t \t Macintosh and PC network and systems administra=
\ntion. XHTML+CSS, Filemaker Pro plus one or more of the following programming=
\n skills: Python, SQL, JavaScript\/AJAX. Ability to communicate policies and p=
\nrocedures to a diverse population at all levels. Demonstrated knowledge and =
\nunderstanding of information technology applications in complex networked\/on=
\n-line system environments. Ability to make decisions independently and witho=
\nut direct supervision. Ability to work cooperatively as a member of an inter=
\ndisciplinary team, communicate effectively and persuasively to senior IT and=
\n administrative management, and represent the Institute in internal and exte=
\nrnal interactions. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem-solvi=
\nng skills.   <\/span><\/font><\/font><\/div>\n
