By addressing gaps in access to tech, TKU strives to change the paradigm<br \/>\nfor education &amp; employment for neurodiverse students ages 7-21. Tech Kids Unlimited<br \/>\nvalues are grounded in the following beliefs: everyone is deserving of an equal<br \/>\nopportunity to succeed; everyone has potential despite their challenges.<br \/>\nJob Summary<br \/>\nThe Director of Operations is a key member of the senior leadership of TKU. This<br \/>\nposition will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple aspects of the<br \/>\norganization to maximize organizational procedures and guide its growth. The Director<br \/>\nof Operations works closely with the Executive Director along with the Development and<br \/>\nEducation teams to help the organization carry out its mission by establishing and<br \/>\nsustaining operations and infrastructure to support current and new program initiatives.<br \/>\nThey should be organized, strategic and data-driven and care deeply about enriching<br \/>\nthe lives of neurodiverse students. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader<br \/>\nwho is excited about joining a small team on the verge of immense growth and would<br \/>\nlike to have a hand in that growth!<br \/>\nResponsibilities and Duties<br \/>\nSystems, Finances &amp; Data (60%)<br \/>\n\u25cf Systematize and streamline various administrative and data processes to make<br \/>\nworkflow efficient for all staff<br \/>\n\u25cf Create systems to organize information and data related to student information,<br \/>\nfinancial aid, and other information necessary for grants and program planning<br \/>\n\u25cf Run data reports as needed for grants, and to present to various stakeholders<br \/>\n\u25cf Analyze financials to ensure programs and purchases are in line with budget<br \/>\n\u25cf Purchase and process program supplies, software, and other related purchases<br \/>\n\u25cf Process and act as point of contact for parent payment systems (ie: ACCES-VR,<br \/>\nMedicaid, self-direction, and 3rd party payments)<br \/>\n\u25cf Process and track foundation and government grant contracts (grant writing is<br \/>\ndone by the Development Team)<\/p>\n<p>Strategy &amp; Team Management (20%)<br \/>\n\u25cf Work with Executive Director on strategy, growth, new initiatives and special<br \/>\npartnerships<br \/>\n\u25cf Supervise marketing assistant for social media and marketing campaigns<br \/>\n\u25cf Debrief with staff and ensure programs are running smoothly\/find ways to<br \/>\noptimize program execution<br \/>\n\u25cf Help with implementation of special fundraising events<br \/>\nCommunity Outreach (10%)<br \/>\n\u25cf Work with the Executive Director on various advisory councils (parents, alumni,<br \/>\nworkforce)<br \/>\n\u25cf Act as an arbiter for parents and oversee that parent registration and other<br \/>\nsystems are efficient<br \/>\n\u25cf Represent organization in fairs, conferences and other public-facing events<br \/>\n\u25cf Communicate with various external stakeholders to discuss the program<br \/>\nHR (10%)<br \/>\n\u25cf Recruit and hire various part-time staff across teams<br \/>\n\u25cf Onboard new staff with necessary hiring documentation and NYU coordination<br \/>\n\u25cf Run payroll via payroll company<br \/>\n\u25cf Organize yearly tax documentation<br \/>\n\u25cf Process health insurance via health insurance company<br \/>\n\u25cf Act as point of escalation for staff issues and compliance<br \/>\nQualifications and Skills<br \/>\n\u25cf 7+ years of experience as an operations or program manager with knowledge of<br \/>\norganizational systems and operations<br \/>\n\u25cf Bachelor\u2019s degree in related or relevant field required; Master\u2019s degree a plus<br \/>\n\u25cf Excellent writing and interpersonal skills<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience with public speaking and\/or representing prior organizations in<br \/>\npublic-facing events<br \/>\n\u25cf Exceptional project management and organization skills<br \/>\n\u25cf Ability to work in a small team that is changing and growing rapidly<br \/>\n\u25cf Ability to work mostly independently but enjoys teamwork<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience managing people<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience working with government agencies a plus<br \/>\n\u25cf Knowledge of non-profit organization systems<br \/>\n\u25cf Experience working with youth and\/or neurodiverse people a plus<br \/>\n\u25cf Willingness to travel to various conferences\/events across NYC and outside NYC<br \/>\n\u25cf Willingness to work on select weekends and evening hours when we have<br \/>\nprograms (i.e. Sunday and occasionally evening programming )<br \/>\n\u25cf Willingness to work in a hybrid model (remote roughly 3-4 days a week in<br \/>\nSeptember to May, in-person 5 days a week from June to August)<\/p>\n<p>Technical Skills:<br \/>\n\u25cf Google Suite<br \/>\n\u25cf Microsoft 365<br \/>\n\u25cf Adobe Acrobat or Preview (PDF editing skills)<br \/>\n\u25cf Data analysis skills (Microsoft Excel: pivot tables, filtering, formulas, vlookup)<br \/>\n\u25cf Airtable experience a plus<br \/>\n\u25cf CRM (customer relationship management) or donor management experience a<br \/>\nplus (ie: Little Green Light, Donorbox)<br \/>\n\u25cf Website Content Management System (CMS) experience a plus<br \/>\n\u25cf Payroll system experience a plus (i.e.: Paychex)<br \/>\n\u25cf Digital Media, Computer Science, and\/or STEM Education knowledge a plus<br \/>\nCompensation &amp; Benefits<br \/>\n\u25cf This is a full-time, salaried position with the salary range at $80k &#8211; $85k<br \/>\n\u25cf 100% health coverage is paid by the organization (dental &amp; vision not included)<br \/>\n\u25cf Unrestricted sick and mental health days<br \/>\n\u25cf Full-time employees receive 12 days of vacation during their first year of service,<br \/>\nplus 6 federal holidays.
