See below for more information and link to the application.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">If you have any questions or concerns about the application process, please feel free to contact me (<a href=\"mailto:kangeles@nyu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kangeles@nyu.edu<\/a>) and Francheska (<a href=\"mailto:fj6@nyu.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fj6@nyu.edu<\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Responsibilities and Expectations<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">Below are the responsibilities and expectations of teaching assistants (section leader and grader) hired for Center for Data Science undergraduate-level courses. Students should discuss and confirm these responsibilities with the course instructor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">As a section leader, the student is responsible for<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">attending lectures,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">preparing for labs,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">conducting lab sessions, and<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">holding office hours.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">All section leaders will be expected to grade. This includes grading homework, assignments, midterms, and final exams. Responsibilities also include posting homework\/assignment\/exam information via NYU Brightspace (includes scanning of physical exams), collecting assignments, and uploading homework\/assignment\/exam grades via NYU Brightspace.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">The expected number of hours a week is:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">5 hours a week for section leader responsibilities\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\">5 hours a week for grader responsibilities\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;\"><br \/>\nGenerally, students will be hired for 2 sections of a particular course. Instructional staff can only be graduate students or non-students (alumni, adjuncts, etc.).
