The Pediatric Technology Gaming Specialist is responsible for the development, coordination and management of adaptive technology for all residents and families.\u00a0 The individual will be responsible for creating and implementing technology based interventions and experiences, on a group and individual level, to increase independence, play opportunities and accessibility which further enriches and improves resident quality of life.\u00a0 The experiences may include but are not limited to traditional gaming, coding, filming and recording, VR, social media tutorials, basic toy robotic engineering (i.e., Kinex, Legos), STEAM activities, and working with residents and their siblings. This position combines elements of adapted technology, play, assessment and intervention, staff education and direct patient contact. The Specialist will be part of a trans-disciplinary team working with medically-complex residents to promote quality family-centered care.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
