\nBlack Public Media<\/a> (BPM) and the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts<\/a> are offering a residency for Black filmmakers, creative technologists, and artists<\/strong> who need access to\u00a0emerging-tech equipment, studio time, or workspace. This is an in-person residency that will take place on the campus of University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the summer of 2022 or January 2023. There is no remote or online option. On-campus lodging will be provided.<\/p>\n

Emerging technologies include, but are not limited to, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, augmented reality, robotics and 3D printing. Candidates may also choose to focus on older technologies, such as projection mapping, multichannel video, VFX, or 3D animation.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

The Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts – Design Innovation Core<\/strong> (DIC), is the newest core research facility of the University of Nebraska. Through our design methodology and systems thinking approach, we use our multi-process production facilities to provide clients with end-to-end research\/design\/production capabilities across a range of output forms. We are uniquely positioned to serve University researchers, local start-ups, and global companies.<\/p>\n

The Creative Producer is the founding employee<\/strong> of the DIC and will be responsible for building out the creative and technological team, establishing production workflows, business development, and some hands-on production work.\u00a0(BTW it’s a super exciting opportunity to be part of the start of something brand new :-))<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

The Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Administrative Associate with a passion for excellence. The Carson Center is an exciting new program that creatively fuses storytelling with emerging media technologies, including but not limited to: VR\/AR\/XR, experience design, interactive and immersive media, virtual production, film, live performance, physical computing, sonic arts, data visualization, computational media, and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

The Administrative Associate plays a mission-critical role in supporting the Founding Director\u2019s work to create a Center and program of international distinction and excellence.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
